Studio Sessions: The Corey Skirt

We have already established ourselves as your go-to vintage shop (It’s true…Cult Mtl said so), by giving new life to old pieces that have either come back into the of-the-moment trend rotation or by modifying them to make them feel a little more current. And now we wish to expand on a different scale, and become your favourite … favourite.

For the past year and a half, we have aimed to broaden our horizons, with the release of original Citizen Vintage pieces, which have now turned into a full on collection. With that said, today we want to take you to where all the magic happens, and give you an inside look at the making of one of our best selling pieces: the Corey skirt.

Almost done...

Almost done...

With the help of the very talented Mr. Stitch (real name Dylan), we have created this unique trapeze-shaped skirt that can be paired with the matching top or easily mixed into your own wardrobe. And to stay in line with recycling and being environmentally conscious within the fashion world, the Corey skirt, like all CV collection pieces, is made from dead stock fabric.

In case you are wondering, The Corey skirt is named after the infamous Corey Mason from Empire Records played by the ultimate cool girl, Liv Tyler. It’s shape and vibe are a direct wink at mid 90’s fashion

The Corey skirt and all other CV collection pieces are available in our shop. Go check it out!
