A Chat With Cat Morin and Meghan Gagliardi: Mays Artist Of The Month

Capillaries is Meghan and Cat’s latest publication in their collaborative book series.

Featuring a collection of poems written by Meghan, capillaries maps the lifecycle of intimacy: how it shapes our evolution, while forcing cracks and fissures in our intuition. Landscape renderings, generated and adapted by Cat, outline the precipitous nature of these cycles.

About the artists:
Meghan writes poetry about memory and ecologies of and between bodies. She studies feminist geography and works on the collaborative and collective transformation of the university towards inclusion, representation, and visibility. Read more of her work atcargocollective.com/meghangagliardi.

Cat is a multidisciplinary artist currently concentrating on illustration, animation, and zine printing. See more of her work at cargocollective.com/catmorin.

Both artists are inspired by bodies and landscapes. These entities are deeply political and represent more than a metaphor; understanding this, the artists would like to acknowledge that the space housing their installation is located on unceded Kanien'kehá:ka territory.
