A Week In The Life Of CV Girls: Part Three
We have reached the end. The last step in the vintage shop process. We have finally arrived at the shop where the last few steps are taken before you get to purchase your new favorite piece.
We last left of with the girls packing up a suitcase and heading out the door. We will let you know that thankfully our studio is only about 4 blocks aways. But when juggling one or two heavy suitcases full of clothing in the winter after a snowstorm, it can be really challenging to say the least... Haha. We typically bring over about a couple of hundred pieces a week to keep up with our eager customers.
Once the suitcases arrive at the shop, it is time to unpack. Oh and we also like to try on all the new goodies :) We like to do this in the AM when the shop is nice and quiet.
I think Lea has found herself a new coat... She can hardly contain herself :)
Then we will hang everything and get the steamer going. This might be the least exciting part of the process. Anybody who has ever had to steam clothing will understand this statement. But we have to make sure everything looks great on the racks so we steam away!
Most of the pricing and tagging are done at studio but sometimes there are items like the accessories or the footwear that need to be done. We then enter every style into our system so that we can keep track of our inventory.
Time to merchandise! Our merchandising is mostly arranged by assortment and then by color. So there is a skirt rack, pants rack, dress rack... you get the picture. And then we typically will have an all black rack. People love their all black everything looks! We will change it around every so often just to keep the store looking fun and fresh.
And while all of this is happening, we have already started the whole process again!
