Earlier this week we shot our vintage bridal lookbook with the incredibly talented photographer, Bianca des Jardins. We shot six unique bridal looks ranging from the 1940s and 50s to a Holt Renfrew pant suit from the 1980s. We shot at a town house in lower Westmount, the home where owner Lara Kaluza grew up and her parents still live. The house is furnished with lots of antiques and has a cozy feels which really complimented the vintage gowns.
We were incredibly lucky to work with such a talented team on this shoot. We've been fans of Bianca's photography for several years, her work has been publish on VogueItalia.com, FUSS Magazine, Flanelle Magazine, SNAP! magazine and Spoiler Magazine, amongst many others. Recently, she has also started photographing weddings so she had a great eye for shooting our bridal collection.
We were perusing Puces Pop a couple of weeks ago, when we saw Eugenie Bee's jewelry display we knew right away that her head pieces, earrings and rings would be a perfect fit for our shoot. Clotilde, the designer behind the brand, came to the shoot and helped style the looks with some of her most popular pieces for brides.
We worked with Floralia on our last bridal lookbook and loved her arrangements so much that we asked her to create a bouquet for this shoot too. She recently borrowed some bridal gowns from us for her own photo shoot, so keep an eye out, we'll be sharing those photos soon!
Patrizia Mancini has styled the hair and make-up of our last three Citizen Vintage editorials. She is so professional and a delight to work with, she made our already beautiful model, Megan Poplin, look even more gorgeous!
We are so fortunate to work with such a great team and can't wait to share the photos with you!
